As the incandescent lightbulb becomes an artefact of the past, Edison’s Nightmare wall light from Davide Groppi salutes Thomas Edison’s design with this humorously ironic luminaire by Harry Thaler.

The Edison’s Nightmare wall sconce begins with a mouth-blown glass diffuser in the shape of a classic light bulb. This diffuser is then crafted to appear as though it has been nailed to a wall like a work of art, while, inside, the light of ingenuity survives this mangling and shines as bright as ever.
